Your Pisces plays favorites about as well as it plays card games. No matter who provides the steak or doesn’t, Pisces love everyone equally. There is a sort of innocence that seems to be attached to that attitude. Your dog often likes to be out and about, discovering new things about the world—but if there’s nothing better to do, you’ll find that it rather enjoys your company. It won’t usually roam over large spaces, but it does like to roam. When it seems to be showing preference to the newcomers, you can rest assured that your dog is just ensuring their comfort before returning to its often-aloof innocence.

While Pisces have a childlike quality to them, they often are covering a secretive interior. Your dog senses your emotions and will comfort you when sad, but it will not often display many emotions of its own. Because of this strange duality of reservation and empathy, your dog gets along well with just about every other possible animal combination. Cancer and Scorpio are the best matches, but it will often be the peacemaker among other pets. Some pets make peace by enforcing, but Pisces are smart enough to let the more vicious personalities take the lead while at the same time being tender enough to befriend quieter dogs. Their deference to bigger or harsher dogs can be a danger, though. If your neighbors’ dogs get out a lot, you will want to get your Pisces fixed. It is easy for a hormonally active Pisces to be led by another animal into an amorous adventure. Even if that isn’t an option, keep an eye out: other dogs that like to wander toward the downtown sometimes find themselves bringing a Pisces shadow along.

You will always be a little bit perplexed by your Pisces and its secretive nature. It tends to turn up in the strangest of places without explanation. You’ll never discover what it was doing, but you will always suspect that it had something to do with burying your television remote in the backyard (or whatever else is currently missing). Usually, the remote turns up in a few days, mostly working except for a few spots of dirt, and you will always wonder what went on between. This secretive and subtle nature means that, unlike other dogs, Pisces usually like to eat alone. They prefer to avoid attention at mealtimes and so do not keep a regular schedule, instead passing by the food and water bowls whenever they feel hungry or thirsty.

Pisces that were abused as puppies or otherwise mistreated will manifest exceptionally antisocial and secretive traits. These dogs may retreat entirely into themselves and show far less of the occasional friendliness of other Pisces. Rather than be initially welcoming to all comers, they will reserve their empathy and kindness only for their favorite owner, maintaining the same aloof empathy that they otherwise normally would do in a larger group. These Pisces also tend to be far more avoidant of other dogs than emotionally healthy Pisces. Even then, because a Pisces wants deep down to be a friendly animal, a friendly owner can do great things for a quiet Pisces. Love in appropriate amounts makes your Pisces an amazing animal.
