Scorpios have got attitude. This isn’t any old attitude that you can pick up off the side of the street, either—your dog has cultivated its style and electrified its energy. Scorpios are involved in everything. They prefer the outdoors because of its limitless potential for exploration, but they can adapt to being house dogs. If so, they will have to settle for some time in the yard now and again. Scorpios also like to enforce their attitude. They don’t normally cause trouble (not too often anyway), but by virtue of being so strong-willed they draw other animals into their wake. They will likely try the same trick on you.
Scorpios like their food, water, and schedule to be maintained without much variation. They will go to great lengths—that includes leaping from across the room—in order to enforce that. This does not mean that they care more about structure than love, though; Scorpios are so intense because they have a very large heart. Even if the food has run low, when your Scorpio senses that you are feeling a little low yourself, the first priority will be to slide tackle you with love. Food can wait when there is a hurting soul.
That same emotional intuition applies occasionally to other pets. Your Scorpio will not like it if you show preference to another animal, but other than that will be surprisingly gentle around them. Cancers and Pisces are the most compatible of any. Your Scorpio will make exceptions to its occasional friendliness for edible pets (you’ll want to keep a close eye on those), but unless another pet actually has the audacity to stand up to a Scorpio, it will treat them all right.
Your Scorpio’s extroverted attitude will drive it to immediately investigate all newcomers. Humans will be drawn into its circle pretty quickly, usually for coercive purposes. Your Scorpio will permit petting and sociability with the understanding that if it needs to be fed and you are unavailable, the newcomers will not only know where the food is, but they will also have the capacity to dodge a couple of nips if they move too slowly.
Your Scorpio will not like it if you show more attention to human visitors. It won’t always bark out its annoyance, but that is a possibility. Often, rather than rebel, a Scorpio will simply slink off with its tail between its legs until you try again to call it This is when your dog will be very slow to obey, and will likely get into the very things that you always keep it out of. The secret to your dog, then, is to stay in its good books. Scorpio is an intense animal.
Above any sort of petty tendencies one way or another, your Scorpio will always be a very strong-willed and capable pet. Scorpios impress visitors and inspire devotion. They are never boring and are always willing to join you for almost anything you do. Scorpios are powerful and focused, but they are still pets. You never have to fear anything too wild; rather, the occasional drift away from the domestic just spices up your appreciation of this amazing canine.
